1. WHO WE ARE

2. WHAT GRASP DOES
Grasp listens to in-person meetings through your device microphone and shows a live translation on screen, plus AI summaries and a personal archive of your meetings.
3. THE DATA WE PROCESS, AND WHY
Microphone audio. When you start a meeting, audio is captured and sent to Google (Vertex AI) to produce the live translation. We do not store your audio on our servers; Google processes it to generate text, then discards it. A copy of the audio is kept on your device only, used to produce a cleaner final transcript with Apple's on-device speech recognition, and is deleted automatically according to your "Keep recordings" setting.
Transcripts and summaries. Generated from your meeting and stored on your device. If you turn on Cloud Backup (a Grasp Pro feature), an encrypted copy is stored in our cloud (Supabase) so you can restore it.
Account information. To sign in you use Sign in with Apple or Google. We receive a user identifier (and, depending on your choice, your email) to create and secure your account, via Supabase.
Subscription status. Grasp Pro purchases are handled by Apple. We learn whether your subscription is active; we never receive your payment-card details.
Diagnostics. Crash reports and basic performance data (Firebase Crashlytics) to fix problems. These do not contain your audio or transcripts.
Glossary terms. Key terms from your meetings, stored on your device.
4. WHO PROCESSES DATA ON OUR BEHALF (SUB-PROCESSORS)
Google LLC (Vertex AI) — real-time translation, summaries, glossary.
Supabase, Inc. — account sign-in and optional encrypted cloud backup. Hosted in the EU (Ireland).
Apple Inc. — app distribution, subscription billing, Sign in with Apple, and on-device speech recognition (which stays on your device).
Google / Firebase — crash reporting and app-integrity checks. No audio or transcripts.
5. WHERE YOUR DATA IS PROCESSED
You can choose the AI processing region (United States or European Union) in Settings. Cloud backup is hosted in the EU (Ireland).
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP DATA
On-device audio copies: deleted automatically per your "Keep recordings" setting.
Transcripts and summaries on your device: kept until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Cloud backup (if enabled): kept until you delete it or close your account.
7. SECURITY
Data is sent over encrypted connections (TLS). Cloud backups are end-to-end encrypted on your device with a key stored only in your iCloud Keychain — meaning we cannot read your backed-up transcripts.
8. YOUR RIGHTS (KVKK / GDPR)
In the app you can export your data (Settings → Export my data) and delete your data (Settings → Delete my data). For other rights — access, correction, objection, or a complaint to a data-protection authority (in Turkey, the KVKK Board; in the EU/EEA, your local authority) — contact graspconnect@gmail.com
9. RECORDING OTHER PEOPLE
Grasp shows a consent reminder before each meeting. You are responsible for complying with the recording and consent laws where you are. See the Terms of Use.
10. CHILDREN
Grasp is not directed at children under 16.
11. CHANGES
We will update this policy as the app changes and post the new version with a new "Last updated" date.
